When you start your spiritual journey we all want to know how to take care of crystals and sometimes the answers you get are an “Oh OK”. Here are some tips you can do and a few I’ve done.

 

 

 

= Not $$$ but you light it and let the smoke hit them.

 

 

 

 

 

= In a bowl put some of the sea salt and put your crystals in there and let them sit for a bit.

 

 

 

 

 

= Put all your crystals in a bowl or out and let them get the energy of the full moon. The full moon is female energy !! Also if the full moon is hitting one of your windows that’s a good place too. TIP if its foggy out over even overcast, it’s still ok put them out.

 

 

 

 

 

 

=Clear quartz and Selenite are good alternatives ( Check photo, its the one on the right). Selenite doesn’t need to be cleaned at all BUT DO NOT put it in the water !! It will disintegrate. The size of it doesn’t matter, this crystal is awesome !!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So crystal peeps get all up and arms about this. Because it’s not the real deal !! NOW BEFORE TO GET  ALL MAD !! Hear me out !!

Amethyst is in the Quartz family and so is Citrine. So Amethyst gets heated and it turns into that yellow/brownish color. BUT you can use it as a Citrine. NO point in hating on the poor crystal. The color yellow is also good for  Solar Plexus Chakra if you’re into the charka thing. Citrine has an earthy/grounding vibration. I treat mine as Citrine. Just set the intention that it’s for, abundance or whatever else you will be using it for.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And at some point, a few of us will. I decided to try it out. I did the typical thing look for Chakra meditation songs on Spotify or youtube and hope for the best, I sat there and just listened to the music and felt nothing. I sat there going ” What the hell, I just waited for 10 minutes and I felt nothing” I think this is where people give up. I mean if your date was talking about his ex at this point you would get the waiters attention and pretty much ask for another gin and tonic ( Had to go with an old-school drink )  and hope your damn salad gets here soon. Anyhow you sit there going, so now what, you go back to google and look up Chakra healing all over again and even go to your favorite WOO-WOO related FB group and ask. You sit there and wondering, I’m I ever going to be AWESOME like those chicks in the group who are always talking about how “high vibe” they are so you sit there and wonder if anything is wrong with you.  Part of your Spiritual journey is trying to figure what the hell works for you and if some stuff makes sense at all. The chakras are will something that takes time to learn.  SO I  sat around for a few minutes more and I decided to give it another try . And that went on for a good few weeks and then the song started making me sleepy. YUP, it came down to that. This is where the old BAND NERD, in me came in and said ” Gabs .. look you of all people know that your brain tends to program its self when it comes to music so this  isn’t for us ”  Meaning notice how after a few times listening to a song you tend to go ” HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY it’s my song ” or ” Screw this ” Yup this is one of those things . I don’t think people even think that that over.Music is used to make us feel better and at times it makes us cry, and that might be a huge reason why people end up crying after they mediate. And no I haven’t gotten to that point.  I didn’t give up. I needed to find another song and I think in real life, this “date” would have ended with you saying ” I had a nice time ” and  you heading home and maybe taking a trip to target for some ice cream and some goodies to make something to eat , so you can finish Binge-watching that show you found on Netflix  .  I decided to look up songs by “chakra healing music academy” You can find them on Spotify, I needed something new. something that was going to make me feel calm. So I ended up finding:

 

It felt right and one day I sat around for a good  20 minutes and I imagined a white light at my crown chakra ( that’s on top of your head ) and  I did that for a while and it felt like something. Like a warm calm and that stayed there for a  good 5-8 mins and then it traveled to my brow or 3rd eye  ( that’s the area between your eyebrows ) and I felt nothing. I sat there and said not my time. I accepted it and it went right away to the throat area ( Throat Charka  ) and it hung out there for a while and I welcomed it with open arms and THIS wasn’t the first time I’ve done work on it. I did a mediation and I felt the same thing. It hung out there for a bit and then it started working its way down to my heart chakra. I was OMG this is new. It felt like it was cleaning up whatever crap was put there years ago, anger, resentment over stuff I had no control over and crap like that and it was there for a while, I felt like it was just starting its job. And that felt awesome because last year I was told, I needed to work on it. And BAM here you go. Healing them will be a lifelong thing . BUT its also fun to figure out why though.

 

 

In case your wondering. I started working on my Root which is that red spot and I don’t plan on stopping there. I hope your healing journey is funny and silly as mine has been.
